Citizens for Public Justice and Dignity for All Campaign

Fatima Anniversary

Fatima anniversary Oct. 13 - A diocesan celebration will be held in Saskatoon on Friday, Oct. 13 to mark the 100th anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima’s appearance to three shepherd children and the miracle of the sun that was witnessed by some 100,000 pilgrims in 1917. To mark this special anniversary, everyone is invited to become pilgrims and join in prayer on Oct. 13 starting with the Worldwide Children and Family Holy Hour of Adoration, to be held from 6 p.m.to 7 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Holy Family, 123 Nelson Road, Saskatoon. Following the Holy Hour, the pilgrimage will move to St. Mary's Parish, 211 Avenue 0 South, Saskatoon, with celebration of Mass at 7:30 p.m., including an indoor procession with the statue of Our Lady of Fatima. All are invited, all are welcome.Become united with the millions of pilgrims around the world who will gather in Adoration before the Real Precence of Jesus in the Eucharist and in celebration at the table of Our Lord on this historic anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun. This is an opportunity for children, families, and everyone to spiritually unite in praying for peace, as Our Lady of Fatima requested.
